Honda Cuts Jazz Prices in India Up To Rs. 1.75 lakhs

Honda Jazz

Honda SIEL recently Honda slashed prices of its Ace car, the Honda City by up to Rs. 66,000 and after the popular Honda City, this time it experiments with the Jazz. The effect of the City price cut was evident on the sales of the sedan last month, where it managed to overtake the Vento once again after having been toppled over by its German rival in the previous two months.

Last month Honda India sold 361 units of the Jazz. The sales are totally appalling for a hatchback and now Honda has taken due measure to increase the sales drastically. The company has slashed prices of all variants of the Honda Jazz by upto Rs 1.75 lakhs in a bid to attract customers.

Currently, the Honda Jazz’s Base variant in Delhi costs Rs 7,45,000/-ex-showroom  and the Jazz has been selling with a dealer discount of Rs. 55,000/-. Add to this a special insurance amount offer by Honda of 1 Rupee, the total discount basket for the Honda Jazz at the dealer end is around 80,000 rupees. So, the 1.75 Lakh discount on the Honda Jazz is effectively a 95,000 Rupee price cut, which is simply astounding to say the least. What this means is, the price of the Jazz has now seen a steep correction, with the entry level Jazz being available for under 6 Lakh rupees, ex-showroom Delhi.

No, the price cut is for real, but could Honda just be clearing stocks till the new Jazz comes along soon. The facelifted Jazz has already been spotted in India and features a slight change to the exteriors as well as interiors. Honda might be clearing its stock so that they can make way for the new model. Furthermore, if they do plan to stick to these prices, then it’s a blessing in disguise for Honda fans.
