Force Motors has confirmed the launch of the all-new Gurkha to end of this-year.
The new Gurkha had been unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020. The off-roader maintains its boxy look influenced by the Mercedes G-Wagon. It has circular headlamps mounted on top of the fenders with integrated daytime running LED lights and turn indicators. The vehicle also gets a spare wheel and snorkel mounted at the tailgate.
At Auto Expo, the new Gurkha presented had a dual-tone interior with head-unit touchscreen. It had second row captain seats and two more side-facing jump seats at the rear.
A BS6-compliant 2.6-liter diesel engine which produces 89 BHP will power the new Force Gurkha. The engine will be paired to an all-wheel drive system and a 5-speed transmission. The SUV comes with an independent front suspension, and a single rear axle.
The all-new Force Gurkha will compete on Indian market with the Mahindra Thar.
