The BS6 change is taking place for commercial vehicles as well as in the private vehicle space. It is very important for commercial vehicle manufacturers to upgrade their fleet to BS6 because if they do not update their models, it will hamper a lot of businesses.
Force Motors is one of India’s most popular commercial vehicle manufacturers. Currently, the automaker is testing their new range of BS6 vehicles spotted multiple times at multiple locations. Now a Force Trax Toofan is one of the latest and most significant items being tested by Force Motors. This 12-seater MUV on-test was captured by a MotorBeam reader.
The test mule is extensively camouflaged while the front profile exposes the latest styling upgrades. Latest headlights, grill and bumper will incorporate the new front fascia. Re-designed tail lamps and bumpers will also be added to the rear profile for a fresh look.
Force Toofan is a 4.8-meter long 12-seater MUV with two front-facing rows and two rear-facing side seats. It is currently powered by a 2.6-liter, 4-cylinder diesel engine generating 85 HP at 3200 RPM and 230 Nm at 1400-2400 RPM torque.
This engine is paired with a manual 5-speed transmission. We assume that the power output will remain more or less the same with the BS6 update. It is planned to be launched before the deadline of April 2020.
