Car enthusiasts are often known to turn average cars into ones that look like luxury sports car. But again, often enough we come across someone who like to Pimp their ride to a whole new level. One such customizer from Delhi has managed to turn his 2011 Honda City 1.5 AT into a Bugatti Veyron look-alike. Wayback in 2010, Bugatti Veyron was launched in India and since then the dealer has managed to sell close to 5 units, the range starts from Rs 16 crore.
Is there any clue to recognize it’s not the real Veyron? Yes, the Veyron is not available in right-hand drive version and the company launched a left-hand drive vehicle in India. If you take your time and look at it from every angle, you’ll notice the wipers, rims, size clearly give away that the Veyron is a replica. Furthermore, the headlights, rear view mirrors and the hood are other things which are not the same as the original Veyron. But other than these, the conversion into the king of supercars looks like a success.
But the engine is the City’s standard 1.5-litre petrol engine, meaning its power falls well short of the 1,000bhp developed by the Veyron’s 8-litre powerplant. This means 0-100kph in 12.76 seconds and a top speed of 190kph – a way off the Veyron’s 2.5 seconds and 400+kph.
According to our good friend at Motobeam, it really costs less than Rs 15 lakh to develop such a vehicle, that will not be even 2% of the original Veyron. The old Honda City can be bought for around Rs. 2 lakhs in the used car market and this modification will not cost more than Rs. 10 lakhs. The above shown model of replica version of the Veyron is based on the convertible version. (See more pictures of the same below the jump.)
What we say? Although it’s not easily recognizable, the common people will pass off as a genuine Veyron. But if you notice clearly this replica of the 400+ km/h super car is the mixture of 2004 Bugatti EB 164 Veyron and 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
