The much-awaited Honda Brio Amaze- the Honda Brio sedan that is slated to become the first diesel powered car from Honda India. At the ongoing 2012 Thailand Motor Show, Honda has revealed the Brio Amaze. But along with the regular Brio Amaze, Honda also revealed a version which carried Modulo add-ons.
Than the regular variant, the one with Modulo enhancements looked stunning. Honda Amaze Modulo carries extensions on the rear and front bumpers, a new front grille, side skirts, door visors, tailpipe finisher, fog lamps and a “ducktail” bootlid spoiler. Honda Modulo kit offers a sporty look to the new Brio Amaze sedan.
The changes on the inside, include a dashboard with multi utility color display unit with touchscreen, which will take care of your entertainment, connectivity and navigation needs. You will also notice inscription of ‘Amaze’ and ‘Modulo’ on the side sills, which are also LED illuminated, sporty gear knob and metal pedals.
In Thailand, the Honda Brio Amaze is launched with only petrol powered option with a powerful 1.2 litre of i-VTEC petrol engine churning out 88BHP power and 110Nm torque. The diesel powered Honda Brio Amaze will arrive in the Indian auto industry next-year, with an expected price tag of Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 8 lakhs.
In India, the launch of Honda Amaze is still not decided so far, but according to the fresh reports, this compact sedan will come to Indian in mid-2013. Once launched, it will directly compete with Mahindra Verito CS, Tata Indigo eCS, Toyota Etios and the very popular Maruti Swift Dzire.
