All new Accord face lifted version launches in country of Romania. Its upgraded with all new exterior design as well as new improved interiors, Front grille and the headlamps have been redesigned to make it look sharper than the existing Accord. The Romanian customers will be getting only one engine option, the 2.0L gasoline while the choice of a manual or automatic gearbox is definitely there.
New Honda Accord is more sharp lines similar to current Honda Accord available in India. The waistline which start from headlamps and finishes at tail lamps is looking attractive. The 2012 Honda Accord’s rear looks like a coupe, the trunk has been shortened to some amount. The roof life merges with trunk similar to a coupe. In the rear as well, there are many sharp lines and corners which makes new Honda Accord a more sportier sedan.
In the interiors, Honda has worked to bring down cabin noise by adding more insulating materials under the roof and hood. Honda engineers increased the thickness of the rear window by 0.9 mm to improve New Accord’s sound insulation. In addition to above said changes, Honda has retuned the suspension set up to match various road conditions and to enhance it’s ride characteristics.
New Honda Accord is available in two trim levels, Elegance and Executive. Both the variants are powered by same 2.0-liter gasoline engine. New Accord comes with a top speed of 215 Km/h and 0-100 Km/h will come in 9.3 seconds.
In India, Honda Accord is struggling to make 150 mark. But it’s competition VW Passat and Skoda Superb are clocking decent figures. So do you think Honda should consider 2012 Accord for our market.
