Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Dash scooter just few days prior to the 2014 Auto Expo. It is significantly targeted for male buyers in the Indian market and is similar to Maestro in terms of design. Scheduled for the launch this year, Hero’s Dash scooter has been recently spotted testing near to the companies Manesar facility for the first time. Some parts of the upcoming Dash were partially un-camouflaged which clearly is similar to the pictures available over the web from sometime.
Hero Dash will be positioned above the Maestro in Hero’s line-up, targeting TVS Jupiter.
Hero’s upcoming Dash would feature digital instrument console integrated with low fuel and side stand indicator, external fuel lid, under seat storage light, mobile charging socket, LED tail lamp, service due indicator, drum brakes and telescopic front forks.
Under the skin, Hero Dash would be powered with an 111cc 4-stroke, air-cooled engine which produces a maximum power of 8.44 BHP at 7500 RPM and a maximum torque of 9.4 NM at 5750 RPM. Once launched, Hero Dash is expected to compete the likes of Honda Activa, Suzuki Access, Yamaha Alpha and TVS Wego in the Indian market.
