The sleek and Stylish Fourth annual Qatar Motor Show has just comcluded at the Qatar National Convention Centre under the benefaction of Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, the Interior Minister and the Prime Minister. Qatar Tourism Authority, Fira Barcelona and q.media events have put joint efforts to organize this event. More than 42 different most celebrated international car and bike makers were present at the show to unveil some of their finest, latest products. The entry was free and the event was open for public from February 21 to 25, 2014.
UAE’s first hypercar: W. Motor’s Lykan Hypersport
Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti, Minister of Transport, opened the event in the gracious presence of Dr Hamad bin Abdul Aziz al-Kuwari, Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, and some other important dignitaries. The most noted car brands that were seen at the Qatar Motor Show included: Audi, Bently, BMW, Bugatti, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Infiniti, Jeep, Lamborghini, Lexus, Maserati, Mc Laren, Mercedes Benz, Mini, Nissan, Porsche, Renault, Toyota and Volkswagen.
The major unveils on the opening day included: 2014 Cadillac CTS sedan, Infiniti’s Q50 and Q50 Hybrid, Volkswagen’s new Golf R, the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe full-size SUV, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Maserati’s Ghibli, and the new Audi A8 range and nanuk quattro concept. Also, Porsche unveiled its 918 Spyder super sports car, Panamera Turbo S’ long wheelbase Executive version, Macan compact SUV, new Cayenne Platinum Edition and 911 Targa 4S. Renault showcased its 100% electric micro vehicle Twizy; Alfardan Automobiles displayed BMW i8 sports car; new CLA 45 AMG four-door coupé and the Mercedes-Benz Concept S-class Coupe was unveiled by Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles.
