TVS Apache RTR 200 4V ABS FI teased for India, launching soon (Updated)

It’s been more than a 20 months since the TVS Apache 200 4V ABS FI has been delayed, but TVS Motor now appears to be finally ready to bring the fuel injected variant of the Apache 200 4V to the Indian market.

The company has released its first teaser of the TVS Apache RTR 200 FI ABS on their Facebook page hinting that the motorcycle is coming soon. Compared to the regular RTR 200 4V, the FI version is faster as well as more refined. The Apache RTR 200 FI ABS variant of the motorcycle will be the flagship offering from TVS, until the all-new Apache RR 310S (aka Akula 310) arrives.

Using the same 197.75cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine, the FI version produces 20.71 BHP (0.5 PS more than the carb version) of power at 8500 RPM and 18.1 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM mated to a 5-speed transmission. It sprints from 0-60 KMPH 3.9 seconds, which is 0.05 seconds faster than the regular model. The FI version hits a top speed of 129 KMPH opposed to the 129 KMPH on the carb version.

The TVS Apache 200 4V ABS FI can be opted with a choice of TVS Remora or Pirelli tyres, with a dual-channel ABS as optional on each of them. Pirelli tyres offer superior road grip and are optional. Expect the range-topping version equipped with FI, dual channel ABS and Pirelli tyres to cost Rs 1.25 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
