Following the spy pictures of the fully-faired Gixxer 155, the rendered picture of the same has made way to the internet. Dubbed the GSX-R 150, the fully-faired bike looks similar to its bigger cousins, the Suzuki GSX-R 750 and the GSX-R 1000, this is what a future ‘warm’ premium commuter could look like.
Fully-faired Gixxer could be christened as ‘GSX-R 150’.
The production Suzuki GSX-R 150, based on the underpinnings of a Gixxer, will be launched by mid-2015 and is priced at about Rs 10-15k more than its naked variant, and carry an ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 85-90k. Currently the naked Gixxer costs around Rs 75k ex-showroom in India.
It’s powered by the same 154.9 cc four-stroke single cylinder air cooled engine under the hood, which can pump out a power of 14.8 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque while the 5-speed gearbox. The sporty Gixxer 150 is also expected to come equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology.
Speaking of other features, the fully-faired Gixxer 150 is likely to borrow the body parts of its naked Gixxer including the fuel tank, exhaust, foot pegs, seat, mud guards, alloys wheels, tyres and suspensions.
