2021 Toyota Yaris facelift patent drawings have appeared online. In the leaked patent photos, the car seen is the hatchback version of the Yaris.
2021 Toyota Yaris features a trapezoidal grille, wide headlamps with sweptback, and redesigned fog lamp pods. The Yaris facelift gets wraparound tail lamps, and a dual-tone bumper on the rear. The B and C-pillars are painted black to give the effect of a floating roof.
In India, the Yaris sedan is sold by Toyota Kirloskar Motor. It is powered by a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine which pushes out 106 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and torque 140 Nm @ 4,200 rpm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox with paddle shifters and a 7-speed CVT.
Although the 2021 Toyota Yaris hatchback is unlikely to arrive in India in the future, similar changes may be seen on the sedan sometime in 2021, the year when the original sedan will turn three years old. Before the facelift, the Toyota Yaris sedan is said to receive a variant of CNG and also a variant of taxi.
