The second-generation Ford Figo (or Ka in Europe) was revealed in 2014, and there’s a crossover version of it called ‘Ka Trail’ showcased at 2016 Sao Paulo International Auto Show in November last-year, but now we’re looking at a sporty variant that could be on the way!
The upcoming Sports variant of the Figo is reported to be based on the Titanium variant and will feature some cosmetic updates to make it stand out from the regular models. This variant is likely to be similar to the Black/ White Edition of the Ford KA+ available in the UK, and will be slotted between the existing Titanium and Titanium+ variants, while all other trim levels will continue to be on-sale without any change.
The Figo Sports is likely to receive a new front honeycomb grille, sporty body graphics on the side and rear, a rear spoiler and larger 15-inch alloy wheels. Further will get dual-tone paint schemes, where the roof and ORVMs will be coloured in contrasting shades. On the inside, it is expected to be offered with sportier leather upholstery with contrast stitching and leather wrapped steering wheel.
As per the information available, the Figo Sports is expected to be powered by existing engine options without any mechanical update. Though the pricing aspect is not known for now, but it is going to be priced slightly higher than the regular Figo Titanium variant.
