Ford is planning to upgrade the Figo hatchback and Figo Aspire compact sedan from its India line up. These facelifts are expected to happen in mid 2018, shortly after the launch of their cross-over, the Figo Free style. The Figo was recently spied under going testing, this time with out wearing any camouflage.
The vehicle gets the Ka+ badge, which the Figo is sold in numerous markets internationally. The updated Figo was internationally launched not long ago and it now seems to be heading for its launch in India. Major changes are expected to take place in the facelifted Figo and Figo Aspire.
The new Ford Figo will sport a new front grille, front and rear bumpers, alloy wheels and headlamps. Coming to the interior, we can expect the Figo and Figo Aspire facelifts to receive the same interiors as the facelifted Ecosport. It will feature an new floating styled infotainment system, Abs, airbags as standard, Apple CarPlay connectivity and so on.
The Figo facelift will be powered by a new 1.2-litre petrol engine derived from the 1.5-litre Dragon engine, seen on the Ecosport. It produces 95 BHP of power and 120 Nm of torque. The diesel powered engine will produce 99 BHP of power and 205 Nm of torque.
Both come mated to a 5-speed Manual transmission, with automatic being offered as an option. The Figo facelift will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10. It will be priced similar to the model on sale here currently.
