India’s best known automobile designer Dilip Chhabria of DC Designs had officially unveiled a super luxury concept car dubbed Ambierod back in 2008 at the Delhi Auto Expo. The Ambierod design took its inspiration from the design of the oldest Ambassador. The price of Ambierod was meant to be in Rs 4 crore price range. Now two new creations from DC’s stable have caught our eye – redesigned Hindustan Ambassador and Mahindra XUV 500 with interior makeover.
The redesigned Hindustan Ambassador has taken inspiration from the Ambierod with almost similar front-fascia. And major change is on the interior, the DC Amby is sculpted with a privacy partition between driver and passenger in a small curtain. This offers both parties to revel in the comfy and cozy ambience. Other indulgences involve a light beige seats and trims, fake wood finishes, roof-mounted aircon unit, food trays for quick snacks and individual LCD screens for two passengers.
