General Motors being one of the major manufacturers and sellers of passenger cars in the Indian market had recently updated its Beat in mid-2013. This recent update was in fact the first update for Beat since its launch. After all this, General Motors will now introduce the much anticipated facelifted Beat at the 2014 Auto Expo along with displaying few of its global products which includes new Camaro and Corvette.
General Motors has already unveiled the facelifted Beat in the global market at the 2013 Paris Motor Show. The upcoming facelifted Beat features redesigned grille and fog lamps, new front bumper, revised rear spoiler, new alloy wheels, new headlamps, new seat upholstery and cosmetic changes to the central console. The facelifted Beat is expected to hit the showrooms by mid-2014.
However coming to the technical specifications, the much anticipated 2014 Beat is expected to inherit the same 1.2-litre petrol and 0.9-litre diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Currently Beat is lagging automatic transmission; the company might also think to introduce the automatic version of the car which is already available in the European market.
