Honda HR-V Crossover India-bound to launch in 2019

Japanese car-maker Honda have revealed the 2018 HR-V Crossover (also called Vezel) SUV recently. It is speculated that the HR-V will be brought to India, which will be launched in 2019. The new HR-V will be sold in Japan under the Bezel badge.

The 2018 Honda HR-V (2018 Honda Vezel) features minor exterior changes over the outgoing model.

Honda recently updated the HR-V, with the car having a new front end, wraparound LED headlights and a revoked bumper. This gives the HR-V a look similar to other Honda’s sold abroud. It will feature Honda’s safety and driver assistance in higher trims.

The Japanese model of the HR-V is sold under engine variants. This includes a 1.5-litre and 1.8-litre along with a 1.6-litre diesel engine. An unique petrol-hybrid powered 1.6-litre engine is also present, though there is no news yet of what is coming to India.

Launch is expected to take place sometime around 2019. Prices could be in the range of Rs. 15-20 lakhs for the HR-V. The HR-V will compete with the likes of the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Creta.
