After its launch in late last-month, we now have the first pictures of the Bajaj V12 (Vikrant 125) snapped at a dealership by India.com.
As reported earlier, the V12 has not only started reaching dealerships but deliveries too has already commenced in some cities. Bajaj Auto had already announced pricing for the V12 at Rs. 56,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, the new set of pictures reveals the changes seen on the V12, as compared to the V15.
Compared to the V15, the V12 gets an all-new 5-spoke alloy wheels instead of the 10-spoke design seen on the bigger sibling. And also misses out on the front disc brake, which is not even offered as an option. Further reports suggest that the V12 will only be offered in a single colour option, the Wine Red. As seen fitted, the V12 will get a removable rear seat cowl and an identical instrument cluster.
As for what lies under the skin, a 124.6 cc DTS-i single cylinder air-cooled engine sourced from Discover is good to generate 11 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm, mated to a 5-speed transmission. Official power output figures haven’t been released yet.
