The Bajaj Pulsar brand is probably one of the most successful motorcycle series in India with sales only increasing by the day and now, Bajaj is all set to launch their latest offering, the Pulsar CS 400. Well, almost.
The Bajaj CS 400 is a motorcycle which has been in the making, for a long time now. It was first showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, and at the time, almost everyone thought it was going to be just another concept which would later disappear, but no. The Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 is now in its final stages of development and the R&D team over at Bajaj has been doing a lot of testing on this motorcycle.
The Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 has been spotted quite a few times now, while undergoing camouflaged testing, and this time we have more spy shots of the motorcycle, revealing in detail, the completely digital instrument cluster and also the auxiliary, fuel tank mounted display which shows the rider the speed and the current gear as well as the gearshift indicator, and credit where due, we respect Bajaj for keeping the fuel tank mounted auxiliary display unit.
But there are a few other changes hahaha has made to the motorcycle when’s compared to the prototype that wasn’t first revealed. The original prototype featured USD forks up front, which gave way to a regular telescopic front fork over the course of development and this is mostly to keep costs in check. The single piece seat has now been replaced by a split seat setup. The exhaust end can too received design changes.
As revealed earlier, the Pulsar CS 400 will be powered by an engine which is based on the KTM 390 family’s engine. But Bajaj has incorporated their technology in order to accommodate their patented triple spark technology. This engine is expected to produce a maximum power figure of 40 PS and a maximum torque figure of 35 NM.
The Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 is the fastest and most expensive Bajaj motorcycle till date, and Bajaj Auto will be launching this motorcycle between July and September this year and will be priced between Rs. 1.6 and Rs. 1.8 lakhs (ex-showroom).
