And the moment has finally come – the Bajaj Auto has officially launched the all-new range of Pulsar christened as ‘AS’ (Adventure Sport) in 2 variants – 200 AS and 150 AS. The introductory price of the Pulsar 200 AS is Rs. 91,500/-, while the Pulsar 150 AS is priced at Rs. 79,000/- (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
The company promotes the AS models with the tagline “Adventure Never Stops” and the duo is available in three vibrant colours namely – Blue, Black and Red. Both the models get half-fairing with an ‘Adventure Sport’ decal, a projector headlight and rear fender carried from current-gen Pulsar 150/180/220. It gets an extended visor which is a essential feature on touring motorcycle for better wind protection and reduce wind noise.
The Pulsar 200AS gets a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, DTS-i motor that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This carbureted engine employs triple spark plugs and produces 23.5 PS of power with 18.35 Nm of torque.
On the other hand, Bajaj Pulsar 150AS comes with a 149.5 cc single-cylinder, twin-spark, 4-valve, air-cooled, DTS-i engine which produces 17 PS of power with 13 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox (regular Pulsar 150 has 5-speed gearbox). This is 2 PS and 0.5 Nm more than what the existing Pulsar 150 delivers.
