Bajaj Auto already sells standard Boxer 150 on international markets like Kenya and Zambia. Now a adventure sports styled-version called ‘Bajaj Boxer X150 Cross’ is spied testing on the old Mumbai-Pune highway near Lonavla.
The company is testing the motorcycle for the export market and not India. Compared to the standard Boxer, the Boxer X150 Cross gets fresh new body decals, black alloy wheels, raised front mudguard and a new rear carrier. Additionally, the spotted bike is reported to be shod with mud grip on-off road tyres.
Powering the Boxer X150 Cross is a 144.8 cc, single-cylinder engine that is rated at 12 BHP and 12.26 Nm of torque. The spy shots suggest that it gets telescopic forks at the front and spring in spring (SNS) suspension at the rear. Braking duties are handled by drum brakes on both wheels. It is available with an electric as well as a kick start.
