A few months ago we saw the Yamaha R15 spied pictures. But thanks to a reader of BikeAdvice, who sent the image of the all New 2011 Yamaha R15 a Production Model..!!
INDIA YAMAHA MOTOR is all set to facelift its YZF-R15, which will gain a trendy new YZF-R6 derived facade. The R15 upgraded will add on sporty split seats, plus a redesigned tail & LED brake warning. Fatter rubber, plus a new tyre hugger will be seen at the rear. Also expect swanky 10-spoke alloy wheels, a meaty silencer and repositioned rear numberplate. We don’t expect much change within the R15’s proven liquid-cooled, 149.8cc single-cylinder engine which makes 17bhp at 8500rpm.
As we reported earlier, the bike manufacturer is also developing a burly 250cc streetbike based on the FZ-16. A rear disc break will help stop this four-stroke, single-cylinder-engined bike, which is expected to cost close to Rs.1,30,000/-, when launched in end-2011.
A Yamaha scooter is also near-ready with little known about it other than it being an exciting upmarket product with premium pricing of close to Rs.60,000/-.
