As expected, Piaggio India officially launched the Aprilia SR 125 and also unveiled the Aprilia Storm at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo n Greater Noida.
The younger brother of the SR 150 looks similar, except the body side decals which are slightly different. Noteworthy features of Aprilia SR 125 scooter include 14-inch alloy wheels, longer seat and a raised grab handle. Priced at Rs. 65,310, ex-showroom, which is approximately Rs. 4,000 less expensive than the SR 150.
Under the skim, the SR 125 is powered by a 125 cc 3-valve engine with carburettor. It makes 9.5 PS at 7,250 rpm, and 9.9 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. This includes telescopic front fork and single rear shock absorber. The scooter comes to a halt using 220 mm front disc and a 140 mm rear drum. 120-section rubber wraps the alloy wheels. The SR 125 is now available across Aprilia and Vespa dealerships in India.
The Aprilia Storm unveiled is aimed at youth, integrating fun riding into their daily lives. Compared to the regular SR 125, the Storm features funky colours, and has a wide variety of accessories through which the rider can customise his/her scooter.
