Piaggio Group India speaking to NDTV has confirmed that they will launch yet another Aprilia SR badged scooter in India.

Scheduled to launch in January-2017, the details of the upcoming SR badged scooter is scarce at the moment, all that he hinted was it will be a more peppier version of the SR 150. This second statement gives hope of a possibly to a SR 50R Factory, which design is inspired from that of the RSV4 winner of the 2013 Superbike World Championship.
The new SR range is likely to be powered the same 150cc motor that does duty on the Aprilia SR 150. and chances are that even the upcoming scooter will be competitively priced. It can be expected to roll out from the existing facility and chances are that even the upcoming SR badged scooter will be competitively priced.
