Pune-based bike maker, Bajaj Auto is experimenting with Cocktail Wine Red paint shade on few of its models. Last-month the V15 received this new paint shade, and early this-month there were reports that the Avenger Cruise 220 is likely to get the Cocktail Wine Red paint shade.
However, as we wait for the confirmed details on the Avenger Cruise 220 with Cocktail Wine Red paint shade. The company has silently introduced the Pulsar 135 LS in this very shade. This paintjob can be seen on the headlamp cowl, fuel tank and the front fender. There are no other changes except the different colour.
The company has already listed on the Pulsar 135 LS with Cocktail Wine Red colour on its official website. The price for this very shade remains the same, further, to add the icing on the cake Bajaj Auto has slashed its price of the Pulsar 135 LS by approximately Rs. 4500 and hence the Pulsar 135 LS in Cocktail Wine Red can be yours starting at Rs. 57,494 (Ex-Showroom, Maharashtra).
At this price point, the Pulsar 135 LS is the most affordable Pulsar motorcycle in its line-up. Even its direct rivals, the other executive 125cc commuter motorcycles too are priced higher than the former. For i.e., the Honda CB Shine is priced Rs. 59,684 (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai) and the Hero Glamour comes with a price tag of Rs. 55,212 (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai).
Noteworthy features include a naked street-fighter styled front headlamp with twin pilot lamps, clip-on handlebar, analog-digital instrument cluster, sporty-styled LED tail lamps, split-seats, split rear grab rails, small tank pad, 240 mm front disc brake, O-ring chain plus half-chain covers, aluminum number plate holder, high-stance rear and rear tyre hugger. Further its the world’s first 4 Valve DTS-i engine, which provides greater power and can be revved to much higher RPMs without any engine strain.
Refresher: The engine on the Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS is an 134.66 cc single-cylinder air cooled unit with twin-spark technology, which develops maximum power of 13.37 BHP @ 9000 rpm with maximum torque of 11.4 NM @ 7500 rpm. This carburetted engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and delivers a fuel efficiency of 60 KMPL that is comparable to 125cc bikes. It boasts a power to weight ratio that is higher than some 150cc bikes giving the Pulsar 135 LS the ability to go from 0 to 60 KMPH in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 110 KMPH.
