Along with the mid-life refresh facelift of Fortuner, Toyota has also lifted the lid on the 2021 Toyota Hilux facelift. The best-selling pickup truck in the world gets significant amount of changes to the pick-up truck’s styling, powertrains and list of available equipment.
As before, the 2021 Toyota Hilux facelift is available in three body styles in either pick-up or cab-chassis configurations – single, extra and double cab – will be available, depending on the market the pick-up truck is sold in. It comes with a choice of either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive transmissions.
The 2021 Hilux facelift gets a redesigned exterior with a large grille with a chrome frame and new cluster headlamps. It has a new double-tone alloy wheels and front bumper. At the rear it gets chrome-trimmed LED tail lights and bumper. Inside, the Hilux receives an updated infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a digital speedometer.
The 2021 Toyota Hilux facelift is available with options for 2.7-litre, 4-cylinder petrol and 2.4-liter diesel engine. The vehicle also comes with a 2.8-liter diesel engine, which is tuned to produce 201 BHP and 500 Nm, manual version the torque is limited to 420 Nm and there is option of bigger 4.0-liter V6 petrol engine that producing 235 BHP and 376Nm for middle-east market.
Toyota Motor Company also claims the suspension was reworked on the new Hilux facelift. Revised shock absorber tuning with new bushings and a new design of the leaf springs.
