2020 Skoda Superb facelift already in showroom, launch soon

The upcoming 2020 Skoda Superb L&K (Laurin & Klement) was shot at a showroom in unknown location by Youtube channel Power Stroke PS, they have published a walk-around video revealing interiors as well as exteriors.

The new Skoda Superb made its first Indian debut at 2020 Auto Expo, and bookings were commenced online from last-month for the flagship sedan with a deposit of INR 50,000. The buyer can also opt for getting their vehicle delivered at their doorstep from their preferred dealership.

 It will be on-sale in 2 variants -Sportline and Laurin & Klement. Both the variants get exclusive color options with Sportline presented in Moon White, Race Blue and Steel Grey. While the L&K gets 5 colour choices of Lava Blue, Magic Black, Magnetic Brown, Business Grey and Moon White.

The 2020 Superb features slight cosmetic changes such as a revised chrome grille and LED headlights, redesigned LED tail lights, a larger double slat grille, and new chrome-inserted bumpers. The rear bumper is redesigned and Skoda lettering replaces the circular logo on the boot cover. The sedan’s length has also increased to 4869mm by 8mm.

On the inside, the Superb facelift features a digital instrument cluster, revised upholstery, connected car technology. Furthermore the Skoda Superb L&K variant gets Laurin & Klement badges on the outside and dual-tone interiors with a touchscreen infotainment head-unit.

A BS6-compliant, 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine generating 187 BHP will be offered to the 2020 Skoda Superb L&K. It will be exclusively paired to a DSG seven-speed gearbox as the company withdraws the manual transmission and diesel engine. If there is a good demand, the company might bring back a diesel engine at a later date.

We expect the 2020 Skoda Superb to be launched silently in the coming days without much fan-fare in the Indian market.
