TVS Motor Company has gained a lot from its successful 110cc scooter, the Jupiter. Launched in 2013, the Jupiter has gone on to become a very important model for the company and sells in big numbers even today. Now, TVS has plans of launching a limited edition of the Jupiter to the market.
Christened the ‘TVS Jupiter Grande Edition’, this will be next in-line of TVS attempt to launch a limited edition of the scooter. The Jupiter Grande Edition was recently spied at a unknown TVS dealership in India. This special edition version will sport some minor changes compared to the standard Jupiter.
Additional features include a Duracool seat cover, premium quality panels and a 3-D Jupiter emblem. We can see the Jupiter Grande Edition having a new LED headlamp, an analogue-digital instrument console and some additional bits of chrome. The scooter also comes with disc brakes, front alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
Coming to its engine, the Jupiter Grande Edition will employ the same 109.7cc, single-cylinder, petrol engine. This engine produces up to 8 bhp of power and 8 Nm of torque. The Jupiter Grande Edition will employ a CVT transmission, introduced on the standard variant earlier this year.
As far as prices are concerned, the Jupiter Grande Edition is expected to be priced at around Rs.60-65,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This would command a premium over the standard model when launched. We can expect the Jupiter Grande Edition is already here for the upcoming festive season.
