TVS are on the verge of launching a fuel-injected version of their super successful Jupiter at the end of this-year. The fuel-injected scooter is likely to be christened the “Jupiter FI CBS”, where CBS stands for Combi Braking System. It has been spotted inside TVS Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu, without wearing any camouflage.
The Jupiter FI CBS will look similar to the current Jupiter, the only exterior change being the Inclusion of a “FI” sticker. It will improve the scooter’s fuel efficiency and ride quality. We can also expect the fuel-injected scooter to see an improved engine performance compared to the current jupiter.
The Jupiter FI CBS also features a sticker of sync braking system, which in turn, has its affinity to the Combi braking system. It will come powered by a 110cc single cylinder engine producing 8 bhp of power and 8 Nm of torque. The engine will come mated with an automatic transmission.
As far as its price is concerned, expect the Jupiter FI CBS to be priced marginally higher than the original jupiter which costs about Rs.55,000. Rivals include the Honda Activa 5G and the hero duet. Given the massive sales of the Jupiter here, we can expect the fuel-injected one to be a raging success as well.
