Having faced tough competition from Tata’s new premium product, the Hexa! Mahindra has re-introduced the special-edition XUV500 Sportz based on the top W10 trim. Compared to the regular W10, the Sportz is priced at a premium of Rs. 10,000.
As you can see, the exterior features a red contrast colour inserts around the fog lamps, contrast-coloured door handles, brake callipers and roof rails. Most noticeable are the body graphics on the bonnet and lower door panels. Additionally, the Sportz badging is placed on the ORVM caps (wing mirrors), tailgate and on the C-pillars.
Inside, the XUV500 Sportz adds on a stylised Sportz emblem on the dashboard as well as the key fob. Apart from the badge, there are no details about the changes to the cabin. Furthermore, the limited edition carries forward all features from the W10 trim.
There are no changes mechanically. The XUV Sportz comes powered by the same 2.2-litre mHawk engine delivering 140 bhp and 330 Nm torque featuring a micro hybrid technology. It can be opted with either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT gearbox. However, the Sportz edition will be available only with the FWD variants.
