DC Designs unveiled its hot new sportscar ‘DC TCA’ at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo 2018 last-week. The Pune-based customizing firm has confirmed that it will only manufacture 299 units, and each car will be personally signed by the creator Dilip Chhabria himself.
DC Design claims that the TCA’s styling is inspired from the LaFerrari and the Pagani Zonda.
The TCA, which is short for Titanium, Carbon and Aluminium, is the latest creation from Dilip Chhabria and looks more like a beefed up version of the Avanti. The TCA is longer, lower and wider than the Avanti. The design of the TCA takes inspiration from the Ferrari La Ferrari and the Pagani Zonda claims DC Designs.
Powered by a 3.8-litre, 320 BHP V6 Euro VI-compliant engine that is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. All power is sent to the rear wheels via new 6-speed automatic transmission. The new transmission will be a welcome change, bearing in mind most weren’t happy with the manual gearbox on the Avanti. The TCA is expected to sprint from 0-100 KMPH in just 4.5s.
Like the Avanti, the latest DC TCA too features a mid-engine layout.
DC Design has already received 60 bookings for the TCA, while the deliveries are expected to commence in October this-year at a price of around Rs. 40-45 lakhs.
