The India-bound 2017 Honda City (facelift) is launched in the Thailand market at an unchanged price ranging from 550,000 baht to 751,000 baht.
Unlike the Honda City Griez launched in China, the new City facelift breathes a fresh air with all new front-fascia similar to that of new gen Civic/ Accord. It engulfs new LED headlamps with bolder LED DRLs, redesigned chrome grille that runs into the lights, a new bumper design with 3-part intake and fog lamps, new 16-inch alloy rims and a revised rear bumper,
The 2017 City also adds the freshness with the Cosmic Blue colour option, sourced from the new Civic. However, the dashboard remains intact with the existing model; but comes with a gun metallic-coloured inserts across the cabin. It also gets a new 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that’s compatible with Android Auto & mobile mirroring app.
In Thailand, the new City facelift continues to be powered by a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine that generates 117 BHP and 146 Nm of torque. It retains its 5-speed manual gearbox for the base S grade, while rest of the variants sport an EarthDreams CVT.
As far as safety is concerned, the 2017 Honda City will offer include six airbags, vehicle stability assist (VSA), hill start assist (HSA), emergency stop signal (ESS) and a multi-angle rear-view camera.
In India, the 2017 Honda City (facelift) was spotted at its TVC shooting spot this week and is expected to launch by the end of this month.
