With appearances made in Thailand and Malaysia already, the 2017 Honda City (facelift) is scheduled to launch in the Indian market on February 14, 2017.
Some Honda dealerships have started accepting unofficial bookings for the new Honda City, which will come with some cosmetic tweaks on the outside, a few feature additions and a new top-end variant called ‘ZX’. Mechanically, the 2017 City facelift will retain the existing 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engines.
A total of 5 variants will be on offer – S (MT), SV (MT), V (MT and CVT), VX (MT and CVT) and ZX (CVT). 3 existing and 2 new Paint shades include – Alabaster Silver, Carnelian Red Pearl, Golden Brown, Orchid Pearl White (new) and Steel Grey (new). The 2017 City V trim rides on 15-inch alloy wheels, while VX and ZX get new 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and LED headlamps. The LED DRLs located in the headlights are standard across the lineup.
Inside, the City V, VX and ZX features a push button start/stop as well as a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and reverse parking camera, while VX and ZX further comes equipped leather seat upholstery and electric sunroof. A major equipment upgrade will be the new infotainment system with Android Auto and a mobile mirror feature.
