A member of Fiat Moto Club on Facebook has posted a photo of what is allegedly the facelifted the 2016 Ford EcoSport, completely uncamouflaged. If this is so, outside changes appear mostly at rear, we can see a redesigned tail-gate without a rear-mounted spare wheel, re-styled rear bumper with a skid plate, and UK-spec alloy wheels. Also note the absence of roof rails.
Inside, the updated compact SUV is expected to get a revised instrument cluster with a chrome surround and light dimmer, chrome tips for the window switches, a repositioned handbrake lever, a 4-inch colour display, charcoal black lower instrument panel, centre console and door boards and partial leather seats.
All powertrains are now upgraded to Euro6 emission norms. The 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine gains five PS in output, while the 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol and 1.5-litre Ti-VCT naturally aspirated petrol motor continue with any changes in outputs.
Ford also promises new tech on the updated EcoSport, with things such as satellite navigation and a reverse camera going into the EcoSport for the first time.
