It’s been spotted, confirmed and spotted again, and now it’s finally ready for its big reveal – Volkswagen India has launched the 2015 VW Jetta facelift in Mumbai with prices starting at Rs 13.87 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai).
The 2015 Jetta features a host of cosmetic alterations, along with a feature updates.
Changes to the exterior include a triple-slat chrome grille, new bumpers, a new airdam, new fog-lamps, and Bi-Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights for the Highline variant. The rear sees new rear bumper, bootlid and restyled tail lamp clusters with LEDs, more Audi A4-like rear lights. Colour options include reflex silver, toffee brown, deep black, pure white, blue silk and platinum grey.
There have been a couple of equipment changes to the interior, which include new 3-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, a new twin-tube instrument cluster and an passenger airbag deactivation switch. Safety features include 6 airbags, a fatigue detection system and ABS and ESP. And all variants of the Jetta facelift are now offered with cruise control as standard.
There are no mechanical changes to the 2015 VW Jetta facelift.
Under the bonnet remains the familiar 1.4-litre TSI unit and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel mill would continue duty. The 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine capable of 121 BHP and 200 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual transmission. While the 2.0-litre TDI is producing 138 BHP and 320 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG automatic.
The petrol is only offered in the Comfortline and Trendline variants, while the diesel is also offered in the range topping Highline variant as well.
