A few weeks earlier, we had published an article about Yamaha and their intentions to upgrade the FZ-S. The report we had carried revealed that Yamaha was going to update the FZ series, both technically as well as aesthetically. The update though will take some more time to be revealed, but to keep up the anticipation; Yamaha showcased the FZ-S concept at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi.
The concept that was displayed did not look like there were any technical changes, as the engine and all mechanical bits looked exactly the same as on the current FZ series, but it did feature many aesthetic changes. The first and most attractive change was the Cool Blue color on the display model. It is a Blue shade mixed with chrome and till now, was found only on cars and bikes with custom paint jobs, but this new color will eventually find its way to the roads when the update comes out and will surely turn heads on our roads.
Few other changes include a redesigned Visor, a new fuel tank Cowl with a chrome mesh insert, new aftermarket style, body colored foot-pegs, new exhaust end can cap and even a new tail-tidy at the rear. Yamaha has not yet confirmed the date of launch of the new FZ series. The company also showcased the R25 Concept and R15 with new shade (black & gold) that was previously seen on FZ series midnight special edition.
