Skoda has immense name and great reputation for offering top-notch quality cars in the market. The company enjoys great fan following and popularity. We have now heard that Skoda has launched two new cars in the market. One is the 2014 Superb while other is the facelift version of Yeti. The Superb facelift is expected to be launched today, while the Yeti facelift will go on-sale in the later half of 2014.
The 2014 Superb will feature reshaped headlamps and fog lamps, butterfly grille, new bonnet and a redesigned bumper. Bi-xenon headlamps with embedded LEDs are another addition. The top-end trims will also offer power washers. Tail lamps will also have LEDs. The number plate has now been placed on the bumper rather than the boot lid.
Though the interiors have not been changed much, the sole most evident difference is the new 3-spoke steering. The 2014 Skoda Superb has been powered by 1.8 L Turbo petrol engine that produces a power output of 158 BHP. It is also available in 2.0 L diesel engine option that produces a power output of 138 BHP.
The facelift version of Yeti comes with a redesigned tail and revised nose. It features the bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights embedded in them and tail lamps will also have LEDs. The car gets a wider grille. The bumper and the bonnet have also been refurbished. The new equipments will include a keyless entry, electrically adjustable driver seat, cruise control, go system and tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Skoda Yeti Facelift will be available in two diesel engine variant with 2.0 L engine that will produce a power output of 108 BHP (with front wheel drive and 5-speed manual gearbox) and 138 BHP (with all wheel drive and 6-speed manual gearbox). We hope both Skoda Yeti and 2014 Superb perform well in the market.
