Hyundai are considering to launch the facelifted version of their premium SUV, the Tucson for India. As per reports, the Tucson facelift will go on floors from May-2019. The Tucson facelift made its global debut recently at the 2018 New York Motor Show.
The updated Hyundai Tucson SUV is scheduled to launch in the country in May-2019, as per AutoCarIndia.
On design, Hyundai will give the facelifted Tucson a new cascading grille, LED DRL’s, LED headlamps, fog lamps and a revised bumper. The rear end will also get a revised bumper along with a new tail-lamp cluster. On the interior, Hyundai will give the Tucson facelift a dual-tone dashboard with silver accents on the AC vents.
Features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, 360 degree rear camera, sunroof and so on. On the safety front, the facelifted Tucson will be having 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and hill assist. Mechanically, there will be no changes on the Tucson facelift whatsoever.
It will be powered by the same 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines. While the petrol engine produces 153 BHP of power and 192 Nm of torque, the diesel engine will give 182 BHP of power and 400 Nm of torque. Both engines will come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, with automatic being offered as an option.
The facelifted Tucson is likely to feature the same set of engines from the outgoing model.
We can expect Hyundai to price the facelifted Tucson at around Rs. 18 lakh, which will be a good buy for those looking for a feature-packed premium SUV. When launched, the facelifted Tucson will rival the likes of the Jeep Compass, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan and the Honda CR-V. Hyundai will be launching the Elantra facelift at the same time as well, so we can expect both these launches to take place simultaneously.
