Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) have launched the 2013 version of their mass market 110cc motorcycle, the Dream Yuga. Although the bike looks similar to the current-model, the only update to the 2013 model is that it now comes fitted with HMSI’s revolutionary HET (Honda Eco Technology) engine which has been sported on their scooter offerings. The company is offering the 2013 edition of the Dream Yuga at the same price of Rs 45,101 (ex-showroom Delhi).

With the revised engine, no official power or torque figures have been released by the company, but we expect it retains the same 109cc engine of Dream Neo HET, thus develops a maximum power output of 8.25bhp at 7500rpm and max torque of 8.63Nm at 5500rpm. This value addition makes Dream Yuga increases the mileage from 72kmpl to 74kmpl (up by 2kmpl from the 2012 version and the same as the Dream Neo).

Visually there aren’t any changes on the body panels, apart from the HET badge on the side panel. Furthermore, the new top-end Yuga comes with tubeless tyres while a maintenance-free battery and viscous air filter are standard equipment, which Honda claims significantly increases the durability of the Dream Yuga. It is to be seen if Honda will ‘HETify’ its other bikes like the Shine, Stunner, Unicorn and the recently launched CB Trigger.
