Finally after a bunch of teaser images, Ferrari has finally revealed the new flagship super car filling the vacant place at the top position of their range since production of the Enzo finished in 2004. The company chose the name LaFerrari because it defines the company which means “Excellence”.
Its a first production hybrid of Ferrari’s mid-engined car which is boosted up with 789 bhp 6.3-litre V12 with a 120kW (the equivalent of 161bhp) electric motor, for a total output of 950bhp. It produces a max power output of 9000 revolutions per minute (rpm) and redlining at 9250 revolutions per minute (rpm), the direct-injection V-12 is development of the F-12 Berlinetta’s engine, whose power is transferred to the wheels via 7-speed, dual-clutch gearbox.
Ferrari says that the LaFerrari is 3 sec quicker than the current fastest Ferrari, the F12 Berlinetta. Each LaFerrari £1.3 million (INR 9.29 crores). and covers 0-100 kph in less than 3.0 sec. Ferrari have planned to make only 499 LaFerrari’s although they have the orders for 800 LaFerrari’s.
