2012 Auto Expo – Victory Motorcycles showcases Vision Tour& Vegas Jackpot

Victory Vision Tour

US based Victory Motorcycles has unveiled the Victory Vision Tour and the Victory Vegas Jackpot at the Polaris stall in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi during the 11th Auto Expo 2012, and will subsequently launch its motorcycles in the country later this year. After almost a year of speculation and rumors, Victory has finally confirmed its foray into the Indian market.

The bike a massive touring motorcycle with a full fairing and hard saddle bags, akin to the Honda Goldwing, and is intended to be a long-distance mile muncher with all the luxuries a bike ever hope to have, and then some. The Vision features a 1,740cc V-Twin engine capable of producing 93PS of power and more importantly, a phenomenal 148Nm of torque.

The Iowa based company is famous for manufacturing luxury touring bikes, classic-styled motorcycles and powerful inter-state cruisers, among several others. The bike maker is part of Polaris Industries, which has already made its presence felt in India by launching the Polaris brand of ATVs. The decision to enter the Indian market seems to be in response to its chief rival, Harley Davidson, being able to sell a fair number of its products out here, making Victory Motorcycles the second American bike maker to land on Indian shores.

At this stage, Victory Motorcycles hasn’t released any specific details about which of its motorcycles it’ll chose to bring to India, or what the pricing would be like. After a thorough analysis of the Indian luxury motorcycle market, the company will likely announce its exact plans later on in the year. Although the initial lot of bike which will come in will be imported directly from the US, there is a good chance that Victory will follow Harley Davidson’s example and set up an assembly plant here to reduce prices of its products.
