Aston Martin is finally blessing us with some fun supercar related news today without talking about the very boring Cygnet. Meet the 2012 Aston Martin V8 Vantage that will be making its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Aston Martin says that the recently unveiled V12 Zagato will be assuming the role of the flagship in the Vantage line-up and will enter production later this year. So what happens with the V8 Vantage?

Besides a slight redesign, the 4.7 liter V8 has been upgraded to produce a nice 420bhp while the Vantage S now produces 430bhp and 489Nm. The 6-speed manual transmission remains but the optional 6-speed Sportshift automatic has been replaced with a 7-speed Sportshift II. The 2012 Aston Martin V12 Vantage will remain unchanged and will continue on with its 6.0-litre V12 engine making 510bhp and 569Nm of torque. The V12 Vantage runs from 0 to 100 kph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 305 kph.

Aston says that the new 2012 Vantage line-up also receives upgrades to the drive quality including quicker steering, bigger brakes and wider tires.
