Baleno RS – the first of high-performance car from Maruti Suzuki to be offered through NEXA.
The Baleno RS is scheduled to launch on March 03, 2017 in India with the powerful 1.0L BOOSTERJET Direct Injection Turbo Engine topped with an edgy sports styling, dynamic handling and braking. It comprises of black mesh grille, sportier bumpers with larger intake, silver highlights, black-painted 16-inch rims, an aggressive rear bumper, and a roof spoiler.
Similar to the standard Baleno, the Baleno RS is available with 7 paint-shades on offer – Fire Red, Premium Urban Blue, Premium Silver, Autumn Orange, Ray Blue, Pearl Arctic White, and Granite Gray.
Bookings are now open online through official NEXA website as well as across all NEXA dealerships in India.
The Baleno RS will be only available on the range-topping Alpha trim, thus, will be well-equipped like the Baleno Alpha, which features Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED DRLs, LED taillamps, 4.2 inch color MID, auto dimming IRVM, 7 inch Smartplay with reverse camera and Apple CarPlay support, keyless entry and automatic climate control.
Power comes from a 998 cc Boosterjet turbocharged 3-cyl direct-injection engine. The engine might be smaller than the regular model’s 1.2 litre petrol unit, but the turbocharger gives the new motor a definitive edge. Paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, it will churns-out 102 hp of peak power and 150 Nm of maximum torque. It has a kerb weight of 950 kg.
