[caption id="attachment_32467" align="aligncenter" width="627"] 2013 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 - FrontView[/caption] Earlier this-month, Royal Enfield dropped teaser image of all-new Bullet 500 on the web. Today Royal Enfield has officially launched the Bullet 500 today in India with a price of Rs 1,53,855 (on-road Delhi). The new Bullet will feature their powerful 499 cc engine and new cosmetic updates. The Bullet 500 is the first 500cc motorcycle equipped with a UCE engine in the Royal Enfield range to use a carburetor. The new Bullet 500 is the least priced 500cc model in the Royal Enfield line-up since the carburetor eliminates the more expensive fuel injection system. The carburetted version of the 499cc UCE engine outputs 26.1 PS of peak power at 5,100 rpm and 40.9 Nm of peak torque at 3,800 rpm. These figures are slightly lesser than those delivered by the fuel injected version of the engine. The motorcycle comes with a front disc brake and rear drum brake. Spoked wheels are standard on the Bullet 500. It include 19” inch shod with new MRF Zapper front tires for stability and sure shot grip on the roads, vintage tail lamp assembly features a classic design, an aesthetically designed new pillion grab-rail with a cushion end. Other features include new rear gas shock absorbers, 130mm telescopic front suspension, a new pillion backrest, and an electric start. The hand-painted tank sports new silver decals and the headlight nacelle encases powerful 55W headlamps within its authentic styling. Royal Enfield Winged badge now in special silver and gold dual tone livery, and headlight casing features the Signature twin pilot lamps known as ‘Tiger Eye Lamps’ for that Bullet look. The headlamp is traditional but with a powerful halogen bulb to provide good illumination. While there’s a demand for the olive green shade in India, Royal Enfield can’t launch this shade which is available in the Royal Enfield Military 500 model as the Indian government doesn’t permit civilian vehicles to feature the military green shade. In that context, the Forest Green colour is the next-best colour that Royal Enfield has come-up with. It will be launched in a phased manner across the country, initially available only in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi-NCR and Kerala which have traditionally been the best markets for the Bullet. In the coming weeks, the Bullet 500 will be available in more states across India. The next-big launch from Royal Enfield is the Continental GT 535 that’ll be launched in the second half of this year.   Check out more pictures below the jump.   Also see - Royal Enfield dropped teaser image of all-new Bullet 500   [caption id="attachment_32471" align="aligncenter" width="627"] 2013 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 - Front Fascia[/caption] [caption id="attachment_32470" align="aligncenter" width="627"] 2013 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 - Right Profile[/caption] [caption id="attachment_32469" align="aligncenter" width="627"] 2013 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 - Left Profile[/caption]
