Just yesterday, we reported that Hero MotoCorp has updated thier website with Ignitor details, brochure and price. Like other Hero motorcycles, Ignitor 125CC motorcycle today silently slipped into the market. The base model comes with drum brakes and is priced at Rs 55,900 ex showroom Delhi, while the top end variant with disc brakes comes at a price of 57,900 ex showroom Delhi. Hero engineers have tuned the engine and the Ignitor produces 11 Nm of peak torque at a lower 5000 rpm (the Stunner produces the same amount of torque at 6500 RPM). The power output is the same 11 Bhp at 8000 rpm and the Ignitor uses a carburetor. Honda offers the Stunner in both carburetor and fuel-injected versions. The Ignitor uses a 5-speed gearbox. According to the company officials the bike will sport a mileage of 60 kmpl. Ignitor 125 cc will be the highest model of the Hero Motocorp 125 cc array in India, the other two being Glamour 125 cc and Super Splendor 125 cc. Both of the latter motorcycles are made for the commuter sector while Ignitor has been made into a trend setter to target the young blood that needs a little extra bit of style and looks. Hero Ignitor 125 cc is set to compete against Bajaj Pulsar 135 cc and Honda Stunner 125 cc on the Indian roads but its major competitor will be Bajaj Discover 125 ST. The Discover 125 ST’s new styling and functional features have made its hopes even bigger.
