Indian scooter market is experiencing an unexpected boom and the companies present in the Indian two-wheeler market space are rushing to capture the growing popularity of the market. In this situation, Yamaha India too has tasted the success after the launch of ‘female specific’ Ray automatic scooter last-year. The company will soon bring more scooters to join the party which is currently being ruled by Honda, Suzuki and the likes.
Currently, Yamaha India is concentrating on the Indian scooter segment and has officially announced that no new motorcycle will be launched till 2015, only existing motorcycle could get a periodic facelift. As the Ray scooter was aimed at the fairer sex. Now the Japanese two-wheeler giant, Yamaha India will be introducing a larger, all-new and macho automatic scooter target at the male buyers.
This information is confirmed by the folks at AutoCarIndia. Furthermore, they reveal the new Yamaha scooter to score high on performance as well as handling. The scooter will come equipped with class leading features such as a tachometer, powerful headlamp, telescopic front shock absorbers and front disc brake.
Powering the new scooter will be a same 125cc engine which does the duty on the Ray but this engine is expected to offer slightly more power than provided by the Ray. It is a 125 cc, four stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled engine speculated to provide around 11 horses with a good fuel efficiency. Automatic transmission and an exponential increase in power are features of this scooter.
