Images of the Yamaha Aerox maxi-scooter have recently gone viral on the internet. The 155cc is set for a launch to take place likely in mid-2018. Yamaha currently sells the Aerox in other markets like Indonesia and Malaysia.
Once launched, the Yamaha Aerox 155 maxi-scooter will be the most powerful scooter in India.
The Scooter was spotted with out any camouflage, and as per reports, is set to be unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo in February. By, the design, it looks aggressive and will surely grab some eyeballs. With the Aerox, Yamaha will enter the fast growing MAXI-SCOOTER segment in India.
It will be powered by a liquid cooled 150cc fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine. The engine will produce 14.8 BHP of power and 14.8 Nm of torque. It will come mated to an automatic CVT gearbox.
Also India’s first-ever scooter with a liquid-cooled engine.
Features include 14-inch alloy wheels, ABS and a digital console. The Aerox will sport twin- LED headlights and tail-lights,which would complete its aggressive look. There is no information regarding the pricing of the Aerox.
When launched, the 155cc Aerox will lock horns with the Honda Grazia, Aprilia SR150 and the yet to be launched Suzuki Burgman 155. This will be a big step for Yamaha, since they do not have a pretty good record at making scooters, in India. It is no surprise that Yamaha will rely on the high-profile launch of the Aerox to strengthen its scooter sales.
