TVS Motors to reveal auto transmission in motorcycles and scooters by 2013

Two-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company has announced that from 2013, the company will be offering auto transmission scooters and motorbikes which ensure 20% higher fuel efficiency. This is something that users will be looking forward to considering the high prices of fuel that has been haunting them repeatedly throughout this year.

TVS Motors based in Chennai revealed these auto transmission engines which are suitable for 110cc scooters and motorbikes and has confirmed that the company would be ready to launch these engines by the latter half of 2013.

Mr. Vinay Harne, President of TVS Motor Company in charge of product development said that these new engines would offer better fuel efficiency of upto 20% as compared to conventional technology and their team of engineers were busy with its development. Weight of the engine would be reduced by 15% due to extensive use of aluminum while acceleration and performance would be improved with this new technology. Prices would be higher but that would be compensated by increased performance and fuel efficiency.
