SPIED: TVS Draken 250 prototype spotted testing in India

This is the first time we’re seeing the TVS Draken on test. Spotted during testing somewhere in India, the prototype gives almost nothing away as it is heavily camouflaged, but what we can possibly gather is that the Draken will probably get the mono-suspension at rear and would likely get a rear disc brake as well.

As per the previous reports, the Draken motorcycle will be powered by a 250cc, liquid-cooled engine which promised to churn out a stunning 39PS peak power at 12,000rpm and 23Nm maximum torque at 9,500rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The company claimed that the Draken would return a healthy 33.3 kmpl of mileage.

The Draken-X21 Concept was first showcased for the public at the 2014 India Auto Expo held at New Delhi last-year. The Draken is not developed with the BMW Motorrad collaboration, instead has been indigenously developed by the folks at TVS, thus, the new performance motorcycle will be the company’s flag bearer in terms of technology and design.

The bike in the pictures doesn’t look production ready yet, however, it’s a early prototype testing the engine and certain other components.
