The TVS Apache RTR 200 is set to launch on the 20th of January 2016. I will keep you guys updated if I find anymore information about the motorcycle.
Although nothing has been so far confirmed by the company sources, the report here states that the TVS Apache RTR 200 is in the final stages of testing and is scheduled to launch on January 20, 2016. Its pricing is believed to significantly undercut the Duke 200 which is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Design-wise, the Apache RTR 200 will borrow its primary design elements from the Draken concept. Other noteworthy components of the bike include headlamp with LED daytime running lights, Pirelli tires, a fully digital instrument panel, mobile charger port, fuel tank protector, split seats, clip-on or single-tube handlebar, LED taillight and a pair of sleek indicators. The top-end variant is likely to benefit from dual-channel ABS.
The bike maker will plonk an all-new 200cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine featuring fuel-injection system which is estimated to be more powerful than the KTM 200 Duke. However it is rumoured that this unit will spit-out around 28 PS of maximum power and 22-25 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 5-speed transmission.
But let’s wait until the launch to find out full details on the new Apache RTR 200 that’s set to take the entry-level sportsbikes segment to new levels.
