REPORT: TVS Apache RTR 200 FI to launch in “next couple of months”

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Fi will have its market launch in a “next couple of months”, as per reports in BikeAdvice. Emerging reports indicate that there is still no clarity on the deliveries of the top-spec with ABS variant.

Sales of the ABS variants of the TVS Apache RTR 200 are still not in sight.

The Apache 200 4V FI despite being BS4 compliant from day of launch in January-2016, the bike never reached Indian dealerships even one year after its official launch in the country. Now the company has cited that high demand of the carburetor version of Apache 200 4V is reportedly the prime suspect for delay in fuel injected variant. However, the export-spec model is only produced in FI and ABS version.

TVS Motors will not be able to meet the demand in the domestic market without an increase in production, what is surprising that TVS Motors couldn’t sort-out even 1 year after facing the production constraints, is something which needs attention if they have to launch the even bigger Apache RTR 315 (Akula 310) in the promised time frame (before April-2017)!

Now many dealers have started accepting bookings unofficially for the Apache 200 4V FI, expect bookings to open officially in the next two months. However, we can only expect the ABS variant to get delivered by late-2017 but we still don’t understand as to why Hosur-based bike maker even announced the FI and ABS models a year in advance.
