With this limited edition model, Toyota seems to have taken a leaf out of the Mahindra Xylo’s book, when it comes to launching “limited edition” car models. The Innova MPV is one of the most successful models in Toyota’s portfolio with very strong sales despite being more than half a decade old in the Indian car market.

“The Innova has been our flagship brand in India and has been a market leader since launch. The new limited edition Innova Crysta is aimed at offering exclusive ownership experience by offering enhanced luxury features,” TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said.

Refresher – The Crysta edition uses the same tried and tested 2.5-liter, D4-D diesel engine which produces 102 bhp of power and 102 BHP of power at 3600 RPM and 20.4 KGM of torque at 1400 RPM, available in Euor III and Euro IV.

No, you cannot book it!! After seeing Advertisement for Innova Crysta in TOI, I have been trying to book Crysta since more then a week now (!) but without any success. I have been getting replies which are very amusing. Rajkot dealer (Infinium Toyota) says that we have already booked Crysta for only ‘select’ customers i.e. who had booked other Innovas & we cannot take your booking! I called Ahmedabad Infinium Toyota & they said similar story — we are giving Crysta only to our ‘selected’ group & sorry we cannot take your booking! I am really wondering what was the point in releasing nationwide advertisements for Innova Crysta if any new customer is not going to get it! Toyota could have just floated this product to so-called ‘preferred’ customers quietly without making such advertisements. I liked Innova Crysta and really want to become a proud owner, but due to these dealer ‘policies’ there is no way I one can buy it!
